Ford is different and people are noticing…
But as those of us in the car business know all too well, the car buying public still has concerns about spending money on a new car or truck in today's challenging environment.
So Ford is taking a big step to provide a solution and help bolster consumer confidence in buying a new high-quality, fuel-efficient Ford, Lincoln or Mercury. It's called the
Ford Advantage Plan.

The plan is simple and also strongly emphasizes Ford's long standing commitment to corporate citizenship by helping local communities across the country.
Should a customer lose his or her job,
Ford will make their payments for up to 12 months…and it's free when you buy a new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury...
And, because many Americans are rightfully concerned about the banking industry and tight credit, thinking that there's no financing available for people with average credit backgrounds,
Ford Credit is stepping up and delivering by offering the right terms, and low rates – in many cases as low as 0% APR.

My question to you is this; Does the Ford Advantage Plan make a difference in your consideration of purchasing a new Ford or Lincoln Mercury vehicle?
As many of us who have been around the car business for awhile know, Ford is also a corporate philanthropy pillar in communities across America, and the Ford family continues a long standing tradition of dedicating their personal time to volunteer and help keep their local communities as strong as possible. To continue this Ford family spirit of giving back to the country that has helped the Ford Motor Company be one of America's 100 year success stories, in April,
Ford will partner with dealers across the country to assist local charities impacted by the economic downturn.
I have personally witnessed first hand, and experienced Ford's corporate investment in American Education by seeing members of my own family receive Ford Foundation Educational Grants and Fellowships for both graduate school and at the post-doctorate level... I have never personally seen this type of actual financial commitment to higher education opportunities for Americans from any other car company. I work with many car companies, and most of them are great companies with great people working in a highly competitive business. However, on a very personal level I have seen many, many examples of Ford Motor Company "doing the right thing" as a corporate citizen investing in the communities, and in the people that make up those communities where Ford does business.
Ford will be releasing more details on their expansive American community outreach program soon.
What's behind the plan?

What can you do?
Help us spread the news about this great opportunity. Simply forward this message and Mark's message to as many of your friends and family as you wish.
To our friends on the Ford team, thank you for your ongoing hard work and dedication. Together with your dealers and your suppliers, we will deliver a viable future for all of us in the American Auto Industry.
To anyone considering their next vehicle purchase, think about this... Of the 3 Detroit car companies, Ford is the only one to have taken on the fiscal responsibility, and the painful decisions associated with
NOT ASKING THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER TO PAY FOR THEIR MANAGEMENT MISTAKES!
This new Ford Advantage Plan is reason enough to consider buying a Ford, if you weren't already...
Ford's manufacturing quality control is now the best in the business...
Ford's management team has elected not to ask American Taxpayers to pay for their past mistakes...
Ford has toughed it out, taken the hits and made the painful decisions to get past their previous shortcomings...
Ford has worked diligently at becoming a far better car company, every day, in thousands of ways that matter...
When you look at the whole picture, Ford is doing all the right things, they are not perfect, but they don't stick their heads in the sand and pretend to be... Instead, sort of like what Lance Armstrong did during those races in France while he was being criticized and ridiculed by the French press, Ford's people just put their heads down and pedal faster... I know, I have seen them doing it for several years now. And, as American consumers, taxpayers and stakeholders in our country's economic future we should reward Ford's management team and employees by buying Ford products.
Want to help yourself, while helping our country get past this economic death-spiral we seem to be caught up in? Want to do something that feels good, is good and which you can genuinely feel proud of? Go out and get yourself a great deal on a new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury and then show it off to all your friends, family and coworkers. If something bad happens and you get laid off... Well, you won't have to worry about your car payments while you find your next career opportunity. Can you say that about the car payments you have right now? Can you say that you drive a car or truck made by an American company that has proven they are the best run, most fiscally disciplined and best managed builder of the highest quality vehicles sold in the USA? Can you?!?! Really?
I know I can... My Ford Expedition has over 88,000 miles on it and it still starts, runs, drives and rides like it did when it was brand new. Now, I just have to figure out what new Ford I am going to trade my Chevy HHR in on!
